Strategic cooperation: Vietnamese Prime Minister and French President launch many new projects

The Elysee Palace affirmed that, with the common desire to contribute to peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region, respect for international maritime law is a key priority on the multilateral agenda of both countries. President Macron affirmed that France will not stop supporting Vietnam’s economic development, in line with the Paris climate agreement and biodiversity conservation. This goal cannot be separated from the effective opening of the Vietnamese market in accordance with the agreements signed with the European Union.

After the meeting, the Vietnamese Prime Minister attended the reception of French President Emmanuel Macron.

On the first working day of his visit to France, the Vietnamese PM met with the President of the French Senate, had dinner, and worked with French Prime Minister Jean Castex at the Matignon Palace.

The two prime ministers witnessed the signing of many French-Vietnamese cooperation agreements. The French Prime Minister announced to support Vietnam more than 1.3 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine: 970,000 doses through the Covax international sharing mechanism and 400,000 doses of vaccines through bilateral channels.
