There have been many accusations that Beijing has openly expressed its support for General Luong Cuong’s Party Committee, as well as the Central Committee’s Commission on Propaganda and Education headed by General Nguyen Trong Nghia, by using the spirit of fighting against the US to save the country, to prevent the relationship between Vietnam and the US – a rival of China from being developed further.
Analysts say that this is a power struggle within the Communist Party of Vietnam. General Secretary Lam is likely to face no small “disasters.” Meanwhile, pro-China henchmen in the Party are trying every way to overthrow him.
