UK closes visa application center in Hanoi

The British Embassy in Hanoi on February 23 announced the closure of the Visa Application Center in the context of high COVID-19 infections in the Vietnamese capital.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the UK Visa Application Center in Hanoi is temporarily closed from February 22, 2022, until further notice,” the British embassy wrote on Facebook.

The British Embassy said the Centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang remain open.

It is reported that the UK Visa Application Center reopened the Visa Application Center in Hanoi at the end of August last year after a long period of closure due to COVID-19.

VnExpress reported that Hanoi topped the list of COVID-19 infections in Vietnam for more than a month with nearly 7,000 cases per day.
