Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh broke his arm: traffic accident or assassination?

Thoibao.de is the first outlet in the world to report with caution (needs verification) about Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s broken arm in Nghe An on Friday evening, February 16, 2024.

Prime Minister of Vietnam, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh.

On February 17, 2024, the chief editor of Thoibao.de posted news on his Facebook with the title “Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh just had a traffic accident or was ‘assassinated’?” with the following content:

“Last night, February 16, while traveling with Nghe An province Secretary Thai Thanh Quy on a road in this province, the car was driving at a high speed of 160km/h when suddenly a motorbike crashed straight into the car carrying the Prime Minister.

The driver stopped suddenly, the Prime Minister did not wear a seat belt and used his hands to support himself, so he was injured and had to be taken immediately to Nghe An hospital for emergency treatment.

Result: The Prime Minister suffered a broken humerus.”

Early this morning, February 17, the Prime Minister was taken to Hospital 108 for treatment.

The next day, February 18, Thoibao.de published several photos of Pham Minh Chinh’s broken arm, who was “emergency” at Nghe An General Friendship Hospital.

Strangely, Thoibao.de’s articles about this traffic accident were all blocked in Vietnam, likely Facebook did following the Vietnamese authorities’ request.

Up to now, the truth of the above news is unclear, but clearly, the Prime Minister was absent from the important meeting on February 17 with the three provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha must stand in as his replacement.

Not only the Prime Minister, but also Nghe An Secretary Thai Thanh Quy were also absent from the above important meeting. According to the source Thoibao.de provided, Secretary Quy was absent because he was detained by security. The Prime Minister got into the car he was traveling with to discuss the matter and then there was a traffic accident that seriously injured the Prime Minister, so the Secretary of Nghe An was detained by security to investigate whether it was an assassination plot or not.

On the morning of February 17, 2024, Deputy PM Tran Hong Ha had to carry PM Chinh’s gift box to give to workers and soldiers in Nghe An.

Since then, Mr. Chinh has not appeared publicly and there have been no new films or photos of him published in the press or on television. Deputy President Tran Hong Ha must also replace him to run the government.

A question arises, did the PM really have a traffic accident or was it something else?

If it’s true that it’s a traffic accident – a very normal thing, anyone can encounter it – but why do the Party and State have to hide it and play tricks like the above?

If it is true that Mr. Chinh broke his arm, he would have to wear a cast for a long time, at least 3-4 weeks, so how could he hide it forever? Up to now, has been missing for 5 days. The longer he is absent, the more public opinion becomes suspicious that this case must be something more than a normal traffic accident.

Secretary of Nghe An Thai Thanh Quy.
On February 21, 2024, the Government website and newspapers simultaneously reported ambiguous news – using old images from last March – misleading readers.
Strangely, Thoibao.de’s articles about this traffic accident were all asked by Vietnamese authorities for Facebook to block access in Vietnam.
